A delegation from the Congressional Black Caucus of the United States Congress led by Representative Marcia L. Fudge visited institutions, organizations and met with key United Arab Emirates government officials, highlighting the importance, strength and close relationship between the United States and UAE.
Meetings and site visits included; The Ministry of Foreign Affairs to meet with UAE Foreign Minister, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, an invitation from US Embassy Abu Dhabi Ambassador Michael Corbin to his residence, a roundtable trade discussion in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates with local companies, government organizations and business leaders, tours of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra Air Base, Masdar City and the The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding.
