Embassy Media Section hosts reception for the National Newspaper Association

On March 17th, 2010, the UAE Embassy Media section hosted officials and members of the National Newspaper Association (NNA) to honor the start of the organization’s 49th Annual Government Affairs Conference.  The conference brought together editors and reporters of local newspapers from across the United States. Omar Al Shamsi, Deputy Chief of Mission of the embassy addressed the group, stating, “The UAE and the National Newspaper Association share the same understanding in the value of news and its ability to inform, educate and entertain people.”  Other speakers included, Bader bin Saeed, Head of UAE Embassy Media Section, Ambassador Dr. Sam Zakhem, former US Ambassador to Bahrain; Cheryl Kaechele, President, NNA and Peter Wagner, Publisher, N'West Iowa Review.
