Notice to UAE Citizens and Students: Beware of Fraudulent Requests

To UAE citizens and students:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) hereby calls on you to beware of fraudulent messages that appear to be sent from the UAE’s diplomatic mission abroad. Do not respond to any requests, by phone or e-mail, for financial transfers by any of the UAE missions abroad or their employees (e.g. requests for financial transfers to pay for admission to universities, or advance payments to obtain a scholarship).

Moreover, MOFA would like to call on you to verify the validity of the information you receive before responding to any suspicious correspondence.

MOFA also stresses the need to be contacted via the emergency telephone line # 0097180024 in case you suspect any fraudulent correspondence or electronic phishing.
