UAE–Based Cultural Initiative Participates in National Book Festival in Washington

UAE–based Kalima –an innovative cultural initiative whose mission is to translate more than 100 works of classic and contemporary titles each year into Arabic– was a sponsor of the National Book Festival, which took place on September 27, 2008, and was organized by the Library of Congress. As part of its visit to the US, Kalima invited Americans to nominate literature by US authors for translation.
