LOS ANGELES, CA (1 April 2015) – Consul General Abdulla Alsaboosi participated in the Premiere and launching events of Universal Picture’s Furious 7 in Hollywood at the TCL Chinese Theatre that included featured actor Vin Diesel’s Hand and Footprint Ceremony. Furious 7 was filmed in several locations across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi offered the film’s producers an exciting backdrop with striking architecture, unique locations and stunning landscapes for the latest installment of the Fast & Furious franchise. Filmed in April 2014, Furious 7 shows several iconic attractions across Abu Dhabi including Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Emirates Palace and Jumeirah at Etihad Towers hotels, Yas Marina Circuit as well as the historic “Oasis City” of Al Ain and the majestic Liwa Desert.

Consul General Alsaboosi is a cinematography and film enthusiast. He is also a supporter of the ongoing effort to raise awareness among the USA West Coast region of UAE’s role in enhancing international relations and developing understanding between the UAE and the USA through art and culture.
