Consul General Al-Suwaidi traveled upstate to visit the Abu Dhabi-owned GlobalFoundries facility in Malta, New York. One of the largest semiconductor manufacturing facilities and the world’s first full-service semiconductor foundry, GlobalFoundries has invested approximately $15 billion and created more than 5,000 jobs in New York, making a significant impact on the state’s economy. GlobalFoundries’ General Manager and Senior Vice President Tom Caulfield met with the Consul General to discuss the cutting-edge technology used on-site.
