
UAE Embassy Officials Strengthen Economic and Cultural Ties with Utah During Visit

Senior diplomats from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Embassy in Washington, DC, led by Commercial Counselor Saud Al Nowais and Head of Communications and Public Diplomacy Hessa Al Shuwaihi, recently concluded a successful two-day mission to Utah. Building upon the robust $1 trillion UAE-US investment and economic partnership, the visit aimed to build stronger ties between the UAE and the Beehive State and explore opportunities for investment.
In meetings with local government officials, including Utah Lieutenant Governor Deidre Henderson, the Embassy diplomats explored opportunities for more economic engagement between the UAE and Utah. The briefings also explored the shared priorities of innovation and collaboration that underscore the growing relationship between the UAE and Utah.
During the trip, the Embassy diplomats meet with business leaders and stakeholders from a variety of sectors, including aerospace, defense and life sciences. They also briefed executives of local companies on investment opportunities between the UAE and Utah.
The Embassy officials also had the opportunity to meet with local university students and religious leaders, including representatives from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
"Utah is a natural partner for the UAE, given its dynamic industries, forward-thinking leadership, and commitment to global engagement," said Saud Al Nowais. "We look forward to building on this foundation to create meaningful partnerships that benefit both our regions."
The UAE Embassy’s commitment to strengthening ties with Utah reflects its broader mission to build bridges with all 50 US states, fostering growth and prosperity.
