Services provided by the Consular section to UAE Nationals.

1. Issuance of travel document for (Newborns, Expired Passport, Loss of passport, Damaged Passport).
2. Renewal of passport.
3. Attestation of medical certificates and To Whom It May concern
4. Attestation of educational degrees.

Please note that some services must be applied for through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website or the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security website, as explained below, before the procedure is completed by the consular section.

 

(1) Issuance of Travel Document (Newborns, Expired Passport, Loss of passport, Damaged Passport

(2) Renewal of passport

Passport renewal for UAE citizens residing in the United States is done through the following steps:

 

FIRST STEP

Submit the application on the Federal Authority For Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security website through the following link:

icp.gov.ae

 

SECOND STEP

The passport is renewed from within the United Arab Emirates, and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs sends it to the consulate chosen by the applicant

 

THIRD STEP

The consular office will receive the new passport and then contact with the applicant to arrange delivery procedures.

 

(3) Requirements for Attesting medical certificates and To Whom It May concern

 

The original certificate and a copy of the passport

1. An official letter from the institution that is sponsoring the UAE National medical treatment. If you are in the United States of America without being linked to any state attaché, please fill out the following application.
2. A fee of $40.84 for each certificate, Payment can be made via the following website: https://www.mofaic.gov.ae/ar-ae/Services/attestation. 

 

(4) Requirements for Attesting educational certificates for Kindergarten to grade 11:

1. The Original certificate.
2. Copy of the Student’s passport.
3. A fee of $40.84 for each certificate. Payment can be made via the following website: https://www.mofaic.gov.ae/ar-ae/Services/attestation.

    

(5) Requirements for Attesting educational certificates for grade 12 and university degrees:

1. The Educational institution must be located in the U.S . For University degrees only, It must be regionally accredited by NEASC (CIHE), MSA (CHE), NCA (HLC), SACS (COC), NWCCU, or WASC (ACCJC-ACSCU).

To check the accreditation of the university, please visit the Council for Higher Education Accreditation website https://www.chea.org 

1. The certificate must be attested by The Office of Authentication of the US State Department.
