AMBASSADOR HIGHLIGHTS UAE’S COMMITMENT TO TOLERANCE, SHEIKH ZAYED’S LEGACY

WASHINGTON, DC (23 May 2018) – United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to the US Yousef Al Otaiba hosted an interfaith iftar last night at the UAE Embassy in Washington, DC. Over 100 religious, community and government leaders attended the event.

The UAE welcomes Secretary Pompeo’s remarks on Iran, and supports the Trump Administration’s commitment to challenge Iran’s destabilizing activities. Its ballistic missile program and extensive use of extremist proxy organizations in Yemen and Lebanon demonstrate that Iran continues to be the most destabilizing influence in the region.
