In his keynote address to the New York University Abu Dhabi class of 2016, UAE Ambassador to the US Yousef Al Otaiba praised graduates for their bold thinking, willingness to take risks, and openness to other people and perspectives.

UAE Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba, in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Image Nation Abu Dhabi, hosted an event to highlight the successes and most pressing challenges in the global fight to eradicate polio.

On October 2nd, 2015, UAE Foreign Minister, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, addressed the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar Gargash, and Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Richard Stengel announced the launch of the Sawab Center, an online engagement and messaging operation that will support the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL.

HE Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, visited Washington, DC, in late October 2008 to deliver the keynote address at the National Council on US–Arab Relations’ annual meeting. She also met with members of the US–UAE Business Council and the National US–Arab Chamber of Commerce.

HE Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, delivered the Banquet Address at the 62nd annual conference of the Middle East Institute in November 2008. After his remarks, Dr. Gargash was honored with MEI’s Award for his accomplishments in promoting human rights in the United Arab Emirates.

HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met with President Bush at Camp David on November 16, 2008 to discuss regional security and global economic issues. HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was previously a guest of President Bush at Camp David in June 2008.

In a speech to the World Affairs Council of America, Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade for the United Arab Emirates (UAE), offered support to the Obama Administration and welcomed new UAE-US trade and partnership opportunities.

HE Yousef Al Otaiba, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the United States, welcomed hundreds of guests to the UAE Embassy on December 2, 2008 to celebrate the 37th National Day of the UAE.

On July 13th, the UAE Embassy met with students from The Protocol School of Washington.
